Green Crestless Forest Lizard

Lizards Home > Library > In The Wild

The Green Crestless Forest Lizard (Calotes andamanensis) is native to the Western Ghats. They stay in the forests, and were originally found in the Kalakad Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve.

An interesting note is their scientific name is incorrect. They were originally named after the Andaman Islands, but they do not actually occur there.
