| There are many different courting
behaviours and ‘rituals’ among lizards. Many
species bob their heads up and down, and display their
dewlaps. Several
other species, including agamas and chameleons, move their
front leg up and down or in a circular motion. Some lizards
are known to bite the other during courtship. Lizards
seldom eat while courting, with minimal drinking as well.
This is normal and you should not be concerned if the
lizards are kept healthy. After mating takes place, the
lizards will eat at a slightly accelerated rate. |
