The humidity
in your lizards habitat must be maintained at the levels
recommended for your particular species of lizard. Lizards
come from all over the world. For example, lizards
from a tropical region can't handle humidity levels
of a lizard from a desert ecosystem.
The equipment used to measure and monitor the humidity
levels is called a hygrometer. You
should always have one in your lizards habitat.
If the humidity gets too high, you can lower it by
removing damp objects, bowls of water, or any live plants.
If the humidity level gets too low,
you can increase it by misting the habitat and adding
live plants. Most lizards will require
daily mistings. |
